Brief Biography of the Speaker: Gustavo Fonseca has a permanent position as Professor at the Marine Science Institute. He gives lectures on the Interdisciplinary Bachelor in Marine Science and Technology (Federal University of São Paulo) and at the postgraduate program of coastal and oceanic systems (Federal University of Paraná). He has experience in taxonomy and systematics of marine nematodes, as well as in ecology of meiobenthos. Recently his research interests are: macroecology, habitat connectivity, population genetics and morphological plasticity of nematodes.
